Savoring Saveur



I wait anxiously every month for Saveur magazine to appear in my mailbox. When it arrives I devour it from cover to cover. This month's "Burger Issue" is genius. Including a wonderful short piece in the "Home Grown" section - now that I've read about the Chase family in Belfast, Maine, I am so excited to stop at Chase's Daily on our way up to Bar Harbor in two weeks.

Ben loves Chase's so much, he even has a photo of it in his house. Also, I almost missed my flight because we stopped to get sandwiches on the way to the airport. Yum!

Chase's is amazing. If you're there for a Friday night call ahead and go for dinner. They only do dinner one night a week but it's amazing and not actually that expensive. If you're there earlier in the week (like Tuesday), you should go around midday and get their fresh produce. And eat lunch/brunch. Their greens are amazing, fresh herbs, and their breads, too. Mmmmmm. I wish I were there right now.
